For our life to be of value, I think we must develop basic good human qualities-warmth, kindness, compassion. We weren't born with the purpose of causing trouble, harming others. The purpose of our life needs to be positive. So, let us reflect what is truly of value in life, what gives meaning to our lives, and set our priorities on the basis of that. I think that is the whole basis of my philosophy. If not, at least refrain from harming them. I believe that the proper utilization of time is this: if you can, serve other people, other sentient beings. So, we need to make the best use of our time.

But we are working for that purely on the basis of hope. There is no guarantee that tomorrow at this time we will be here. Our day-to-day existence is very much alive with hope, although there is no guarantee of our future. While we have this body, and especially this amazing human brain, I think every minute is something precious. Proper utilization of time is so important. And it makes me wonder if we've utilized our time properly or not. The responsibility rests in thought.“Sometimes when I meet old friends, it reminds me how quickly time passes.

The button to trigger them is under a human finger, which moves by thought, not under its own power. “Even with all the terrible weapons we have, the weapons themselves cannot start a war. It is time for us to think of other people as true brothers and sisters and to be concerned with their welfare, with lessening their suffering.” “Each of us has a responsibility for all humankind. “One should not see tolerance or patience as a sign of weakness, but rather as a sign of strength coming from a deep ability to remain steadfast and firm.” “We need to cultivate a universal responsibility for one another and for the planet we share, based on a good heart and awareness.” Each gives us valuable insights into the other.” There is no contradiction between the two. “With the ever growing impact of science on our lives, religion and spirituality have a greater role to play in reminding us of our humanity. “I am convinced that as a result of less anger, we become happier and healthier, smile and laugh more, and have more friends.” If we become unstable through anger, it is difficult for us to use our intelligence well.” “To utilize our human intelligence fully, we need calmness. But today, through science and technology, we can create far greater benefits or much more serious damage.”

“In the past, when we neglected the long term effects of our actions, it was less consequential. They must be faced with compassion, love and true kindness.” “World problems cannot be challenged by anger or hatred. “The problems we face today – violent conflicts, destruction of nature, poverty, hunger, and so on are mainly problems created by humans. “The basic source of happiness are a good heart compassion, and love.” Here are some words of wisdom from the Dalai Lama:

For his tireless and energetic efforts he has been awarded numerous awards and honors inlcuding the Nobel Prize for Peace in 1989. Vibrantly optimistic about humanity, the Dali Lama has circled the globe bringing a consistent message of peace, non-violence, tolerance and compassion. Today is the 80 th birthday of the Dalai Lama who was born in a remote Tibetan village on July 06, 1935. Print this article Font Size - 16 + Victor Parachin
